Belting Range Chapter 3 - Rubber Belts

In this chapter, we will introduce the following 4 type of belts
- Wide Angle Belt
- VS Belt
- Rubber Timing Belt
- HTD Belt

Wide Angle Belt

Introduction

Wide angle belts are excellent to use for high speed smooth drives where it is necessary to reduce vibration. Wide angle belts are oxidization proof and heat resistant therefore it will enhance transmission efficiency, abrasion resistance as well as product life span. Defectives such as harden, cracked when in high temperature environment and belt inside-out are being minimized.

Applications
  • Cooling tower systems
  • Machine tools

VS Belt

Introduction

Variable speed belts are intended for use with variable speed pulleys to gain a wide range of driven speeds. The cog design gives greater flexibility which helps in efficient heat dissipation thus prolonging the life span of the belt. Variable speed belts are high heat and oil resistance.

Applications
  • Tow stroke
  • Four-stroke air cooling
  • Water cooling motorcycle
  • Transmission system
  • Industrial variable speed transmission
  • Agriculture machinery

Rubber Timing Belt

Introduction

Rubber timing belts are design with neoprene body to provides protection against grime, oil and moisture. The nylon tooth facing provides durable wear surface for longer life span of belt.

Applications
  • Agriculture
  • Construction
  • Mining
  • Forestry
  • Manufacturing industries
  • Car industries

HTD Belt

Introduction

HTD belts have a larger, more robust tooth profile for increased capacity. The fiberglass tensile cord provides high strength, excellent flex life, and high resistance to elongation. The belt is resistance to grime, grease, oil and moisture.

Applications
  • Food processors
  • Manufacturing industries
  • Medical Diagnostic
  • Vending machines
  • Vacuum cleaners
